• Proposals to develop documentary films, educational materials, print media and projects that meet our selection criteria.
• Programming formats, projects, events with formats, merchandise, publications, web sites or other media.
• Projects must encourage active engagement with the topic showcased.

What is a documentary film?

• Documentary films, after thorough research and inspirational methods, document reality. They are geared towards impact, change and education. Scenes are typically not scripted and the people are real people from the public and the movies are original and personal.

Application Coversheet:

• Name, submission date, contact info, title of project

Narrative/Overview:

• Topic/Nature of the project
• Summarize the proposal (digital media/print)
• State the goals and the objective of the project

Concept:

• Format, storyline, structure, ideas and communication

Outcomes:

• Describe the projected outcomes
• Describe the plan of work and project timeline
• Plan = ex. Meetings, research and interviews

Budget:

• Explain in details each expense
• Applicant Resume
• Grant Proposal
• Tax/Legal/Copyrights involved in the proposal

Project Selection Criteria:

• Project has an emphasis on solutions and on interaction
• Project outlines the complexities and the solutions to imperative environmental issues
• Projects the impact of personal, consumer, corporate behaviors, and active participation
• Forecasts ethical and moral standards
• Incorporates compelling and creative storytelling

Film Funding Exempt from:

• Fictional works
• Lack of solution
